Thengai Podi or Coconut Podi is popular in States of Tamil Nadu and Kerala. It is easy to prepare and safely store in refrigerator for couple of months for use at any time. It is directly mixed with hot rice and ghee as part of a meal course.

Grated coconut 3/4 cup
Red chili 3 nos.
Urad dhal 1/4 cup
Channa dhal 1/4 cup
Dhaniya (coriander seeds) 1 tbsp
Jaggery 1 tsp
Tamarind small piece
Hing 1/2 tsp
Coconut oil Or Gingelly oil 1 tsp
Salt
