Summer Cooler Dish

In this post, recipe for Summer Cooler Dish is presented. It is a variation of “Pazhaiya sadam” (cooked rice soaked in water overnight) that is very popular in villages of Tamil Nadu. It is very healthy and keeps body cool during hot summer days. The taste is further enhanced in this preparation by adding fruits like water melon and vegetables like cucumber that also add to cooling effects.


Cooked rice   – 1/2 cup

Water    – 1/2 cup

Green chilli  – 1 no.

Water melon cut pieces  – 1/2 cup

Cucumber cut pieces  – 1/2 cup

Flax seed powder  – 1/2 tsp

Preparation time: 10 min
