Smoked chutney

Smoked Capsicum Tomato Chutney

This is a delicious chutney that goes great with any dosa / Idli snack varieties. You also get extra flavor on account of smoking the vegetables- Capsicum and Tomato.

Ingredients

Green Capsicum          — 1 no.

Tomato (medium size) -–  2  nos.

Onion(medium size)   — 1 no.

Chopped garlic           — 1 tsp

Red Chilli                    — 3 nos.

Salt                             — to taste

Oil                               — 1 tbsp

Cooking time                 : 10 minutes

Makes                             : 3/4 cup

Step 1:

Keep Wire roaster on stove with medium flame.Place one green capsicum and medium sized tomatoes on the roaster.

Turn the capsicum and tomatoes for uniform smoking.

Step 2:

Heat pan in medium flame with 1 tbsp of oil . Add 3 nos.red chilli. Also add 1 medium sized onion chopped and 1 tsp of chopped garlic . Saute till onion becomes transparent.

Step 3:

Add smoked, deseeded and cut capsicum pieces and also smoked and cut tomato pieces. Saute for 1 minute. Switch off the stove.

Step 4:

After 10 minutes, add salt and grind. Delicious smoked Capsicum tomato chutney is ready.
