PARUPPU URUNDAI PULI KUZHAMBU/PARUPPU URUNDAI MOR KUZHAMBU

This recipe is about making a tasty sambhar variety – Paruppu(Dhal) Urundai(round) Puli (tamarind) Kuzhambu (sambhar) and Paruppu urundai mor (butter milk) kuzhambu. It is popular in Tamil Nadu and is taken along with rice as a meal course.

Ingredients

PARUPPU URUNDAI Toor dhal 1 cup
Red chili 1 no.
Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
Hing 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves 08 nos
Oil 1 tsp

Puli kuzhambu

Red chili 4 nos. Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
Coriander seeds 2 tbsp Mustard 1 tsp
Channa dhal 1 tbsp Curry leaves 10 nos.
Fenugreek 1/2 tsp Oil 2 tsp
Hing a small piece
Salt
Coconut(grated) 2 tbsp
Tamarind 1 Lemon size
Preparation time 05 min
Cooking time 30 min

MOR KUZHAMBU Butter milk 2 1/2 cup
Coconut grated 1/4 cup
Dhaniya 1 tsp
Red chili 2 nos.
Green chili 2 nos.
Cumin seeds 1 tsp
Hing 1/2 tsp
Mustard 1 tsp
Curry leaves 10 nos.
Oil 1 tsp
Salt
Preparation time 05 min
Cooking time 10 min
