This is a very simple and interesting Mangalorean style dish that does not involve any cooking. The natural sweetness of fruits and spice of red chillies gives the perfect blend of flavours. You could have it along with chappati or rice or just have it as fruit salad.

Makes : 4 cups
- Pineapple ripe – 1 cup , cut in cubes
- Mango ripe – 1 cup , cut in cubes
- Green grapes – 1 cup, de-seeded
- Grated Coconut – 1 cup
- Red chilly – 1, medium sized
- Jaggery – 1 tbsp
- Salt – 1 tsp
- Mustard – 1 tsp
- Raisins and cashews roasted in ghee – 1 tbsp,for garnishing
Take the cut pineapples,mangoes and grapes in a bowl.
Grind the coconut,mustard, red chilly, jaggery and salt to a fine paste.
Transfer this paste to the fruits in the bowl and mix all the ingredients carefully.
Garnish with roasted cashew nuts and raisins.
The fruit gothsu is ready to be served.
PS: If you need more gravy, increase the quantity of coconut paste proportionately.
